King Henry pays tribute to ‘brilliant’ young people supporting Kilkenny communities
Hurling legend Henry Shefflin has paid tribute to the “brilliant” young people of Kilkenny and Carlow who are supporting their local communities throughout the pandemic.
In a recorded message to mark the opening of applications for the 2021 Kilkenny-Carlow Garda Youth Awards, the 10-time All-Ireland winner urged people to acknowledge the outstanding voluntary efforts of young people in their communities.
Henry said: “I want to lend my support to the Kilkenny-Carlow Garda Youth Awards, which are currently open for nominations. I’ve been involved over the past 12 months with the awards. Brilliant awards, brilliant people get recognised.”
Henry urged people to log onto the Kilkenny-Carlow Garda Facebook page for further details and information about “the youths that are really supporting our communities throughout both counties”
