LATEST: 1,120 new cases of virus confirmed
A further 1,120 people have contracted the coronavirus, the Department of Health confirmed this evening.
That’s a drop of 225 on Monday’s total.
The number of people currently being treated for Covid-19 in hospital has risen to 142 an increase of just one on yesterday’s figures.
Some 27 patients are now in ICU, an increase of two on yesterday’s total.
