LATEST: 1,392 new cases of virus confirmed
A further 1,392 people have contracted the coronavirus, the Department of Health confirmed this evening.
The number of people hospitalised with the virus now stands at 288, down two on yesterday.
The number of people being treated in intensive care stands at 73, which is up six since from the preiovus day.
