REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

John Cody (Sutton, Dublin and formerly of Kilkenny) September 16th 2021 (peacefully) at home. Beloved husband of Breda, loving father of Gillian, Peter, Brendan and Kieran, grandfather of Ciara, Jordan and Jade. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family, extended family and friends.

John’s Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (Sept. 18th) at 11a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Foulkstown, Kilkenny. (50% capacity of the Church) followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery. Please comply with Government Guidelines regarding social distancing, face coverings and hand shaking.

Maura GRANT (née Ryan)

Maura passed away peacefully at University Hospital Waterford. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Paddy, son Richard, sister Alice (Murphy), nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing on Saturday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow, from 5.00pm. Arriving at St. Beacon’s Church Mullinavat at 8.00pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 10.00am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Farrell (Bishopscourt Demesne, Kill, Co. Kildare and formerly of Gowran, Co. Kilkenny) – Sept 15, 2021, (peacefully), in his 94th year, surrounded by his loving family, at St. Brigid’s Hospice The Curragh, Richard Snr, beloved husband of Aileen and dear father of Patricia, Helen, Richard, Carmel, Charlie, Nuala, Agnes and Peter; Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brothers, sister, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Removal on Friday to St. Brigid’s Church, Kill arriving for 10am Mass followed by burial afterwards at the Church of the Assumption Parish Cemetery, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny arriving at approximately 1pm.

Due to current Government Guidelines the capacity of the Church is limited to 50%.
