LATEST: 1,782 new cases of virus confirmed, Government to annouce roadmap to end all Covid restrictions,
A total of 1,782 new cases of Covid-19 are being reported today.
According to the Covid data hub, there are 189 people in hospital who have tested positive for the virus, four fewer than yesterday, of which 30 are in ICU.
The Cabinet Committee on Covid-19 met this morning to review disease progression and roll-out of the vaccination programme.
A statement issued after the meeting, said the Government intends to publish a road map by the end of this month for the easing or ending of remaining Covid restrictions.
It was also revealed the Cabinet is planning to write to church leaders to outlines plans to allow communions and confirmations to take place from September.
