LATEST: 589 new cases of virus confirmed
A further 589 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening, a decrease of 11 on yesterday’s figures.
The Department of Health reported 62 people are now being treated for the virus in hospitals, two less than yesterday’s total.
Some 17 people are now being treated in Intensive Care Units, one more than yesterday’s figure.
However, the department warned the number of cases may change due to future data validation amid the disruption caused by the cyber attack on the HSE’s system.
