LATEST: 63 more Covid deaths as over 11,000 new cases of virus confirmed
A futher 11,255 people have contracted Covid-19.
The Department of Health today reported 5,677 PCR-confirmed cases of Covid-19. A further 5,578 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
There arecurrently 627 people in hospital with Covid-19, a drop of 19 on yesterday. Of those, 68 are currently in ICU, a drop of four.
The department was also notified of 63 new Covid-related deaths, bringing the total number of virus-related deaths in Ireland to 6,291.
