Van thieves strike again: €3,000 of tools stolen from vehicle parked in Kilkenny town

Work tools have been stolen from a van parked up in a county Kilkenny town.

The theft incident occurred at the Dock in Graiguenamanagh at 10pm on Wednesday evening.

A number of tools were stolen from a parked van and included a red Honda generator, a blue electric drill, a Hitachi drill and battery. Gardai estimate the stolen tools are worth around €3,000.

This theft in Graiguenamanagh is the latest a number of thefts of work vans that have taken place recently in the area.

Other similar incidents have been reported in Carlow, Bagenalstown and Kilkenny City in recent weeks.

Anyone with information about the thefts or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to contact Griaguenamanagh Garda Station on 059 972 5750.
