LATEST: Kilkenny among 772 new cases of virus as six further deaths confirmed
A further six people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 772 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
It brings the overall death toll as a result of the virus to 1,908. There are now 61,059 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Safety Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 228 are in Dublin, 120 in Cork, 50 in Meath, 41 in Donegal, 41 in Galway with the remaining 292 cases are spread across all remaining counties, including five new infections in Kilkenny.
