LATEST: Kilkenny among 901 new cases of virus as 47 further deaths confirmed
A further 47 people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 901 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed.
The overall death toll as a result of the virus has now reached 4,082. There have now been 212,647 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 437 in Dublin, 49 in Limerick, 43 in Galway, 39 in Kildare, 32 in Meath and the remaining 301 cases are spread across all other counties, less than five cases were recorded in Kilkenny.
