LATEST: Kilkenny among 358 new cases of virus as 18 further deaths confirmed
A further 18 people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 358 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
The overall death toll as a result of the virus has now reached 4,803. There has been a total of 241,684 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 166 are in Dublin, 39 in Donegal, 16 in Kildare, 13 in Offaly, 12 in Meath, 12 in Limerick with the remaining 100 cases are spread across 18 other counties. Less than five new cases were recorded in Kilkenny.
