Seven people found in possesion in drugs crackdown in city

GARDAI arrested seven people for minor drug offenses in the city on Saturday night.

The Garda Divisional Drugs Unit and Kilkenny garda members arrested seven people for being in possession of various illegal substances.

Cocaine, MDMA and cannabis were discovered during the six-hour period up until midnight on Saturday.

Gardai stopped numerous cars, as well as searching people on the street, and seven people were found in possession.

All the incidents are currently being investigated and files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
