LATEST: Kilkenny among 420 new cases of virus as 11 further deaths confirmed
A further 11 people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 420 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
The overall death toll as a result of the virus has now reached 4,831. There have now been 242,819 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 147 in Dublin, 41 in Meath, 33 in Donegal, 26 in Galway, 18 in Limerick and the remaining 155 cases are spread across all other counties, less than five cases were recorded in Kilkenny.
