LATEST: More high levels of virus confirmed in Kilkenny as 15 further deaths confirmed
A further 15 more people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 310 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
The overall death told as a result of the virus now stands at 2,117 . To date, there has been 75,203 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follow: 80 are in Dublin, 27 in Donegal, 25 in Louth, 15 in Kilkenny, 15 in Waterford, 15 in Tipperary, 15 in Meath with the remaining 118 cases are spread across 16 other counties.
