Man fights for life in hospital after horror crash on M9 in South Kilkenny
MOTORISTS are being urged to avoid the M9 motorway in South Kilkenny after a serious car crash this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the accident, which occurred at around 8.30am this morning between the Knocktopher and Mullinavat junctions. This stretch of the M9 has been temporarily closed to traffic.
It is understood just one vehicle was involved in the accident.
The driver of the car was rushed to University Hospital Waterford (UHW), where he is being treated for very serious injuries.
