Man rushed to St Luke’s after he was stabbed in the stomach during late night row

GARDAI are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the stomach during a late-night row which erupted in the Johnswell Road area of the city.

Gardai confirmed the incident occurred in Rosewood shortly after midnight on Monday last.

A male was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital after he suffered a laceration to the stomach.

The Garda Press Office confirmed to KilkennyNow.ie: “Gardaí attended an incident at Rosewood, Johnswell Road in the early hours of Monday morning, December 3, 2018 at approximately 12.30am. A 24-year-old man was found with injuries and removed to St Luke’s Hospital by ambulance. Investigations are ongoing.”
