MARBLE CITY NIGHTS: Sinéad Connolly’s going-out guide to Kilkenny this weekend

THE Marble City was this week named as Airbnb’s most popular trending destination in Europe – and it’s not hard to see why.

Our city is famed for its festivals and many cultural events – and our local pub and music scene is pretty damned good too.

And if you’re planning on hitting the tiles this weekend, there’s plenty of musical delights to keep you entertained, from Trad, live bands or even some karaoke if that’s your thing.

John Cleere’s has a double treat in store this weekend, with Creedence Awakened CCR Tribute Band on Friday at 9pm. And the amazing Lisa O’Neill is performing on Saturday at 8pm – definitely not one to be missed!

If you fancy a chuckle head along to Biddy Early’s for their Comedy Gig on Saturday and Sunday between 5-6pm.
