More delays to Ireland’s longest bridge, linking Kilkenny and Wexford, after worker seriously injured
Construction work on Ireland’s longest bridge linking Kilkenny and Wexford at Glenmore was halted for several days after a worker was seriously injured.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident at the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge on Wednesday, November 13, shortly before 8.30am.
The victim, who is believed to be from Italy, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
An investigation into the incident by the Health and Safety Authority is underway.
