More than 100 homes without power in county Kilkenny following outage
More than 100 customers in county Kilkenny remain without electricity this morning following a power outage in the centre of the county.
106 ESB Network customers in Goresbridge and Gowran woke up without power this morning following a fault at a local substation.
ESB say it is a planned interruption for essential maintenance work and crews have been onsite working all morning.
An ESB spokesperson says: “We apologise for the loss of supply. We are carrying out essential improvement / maintenance works in your area and will restore power as quickly as possible.”
It is expected that the power will be restored by 4.30pm this afternoon.
