Motorway in Kilkenny closed due to serious accident this morning
A section of Motorway in county Kilkenny remains closed this morning following a serious accident.
The M9 southbound is expected to remain closed until later this morning between Junction 7 Paulstown and Junction 8 Kilkenny/ Temple Martin following a collision.
The incident happened at around 8am and it is reported that a least one lorry jack-knifed in the incident
Emergency services are at the scene and traffic is being diverted towards Kilkenny City via the Old Dublin Rd (R712)
Traffic is said to be very slow in the area.
