New parking restrictions at Kilkenny hospital as work on €30m ward gets underway
Parking restrictions will be in place at St Luke’s General Hospital from tomorrow as construction work gets underway on the new €30 million modular inpatient ward block.
A hospital spokesperson confirmed that the existing Main North Entrance to the hospital will relocated to facilitate the building work.
The spokesperson said: “Limited set down and disabled parking spaces are available at the new Temporary Entrance and the Public are asked to Drop and Go and follow signage to the car park or exit the site.”
The hospital said bus and taxi set-down facilities “will be provided in the revised layout with additional disabled parking in the adjacent car park”.
St Luke’s apologised to “for any inconvenience caused” and asked members of the public to “follow the signage on entry to the site”.
