Old schoolhouse and community centre in Kilkenny village to be reborn as family home

A disused former school and community hall in a Kilkenny village is set to be transformed into a private family home.

Kilkenny County Council has received a planning application to give the old building in the heart of Tullaroan a major makeover.

The application calls for the “renovation of existing structure, plus a change of use from disused community hall/technical schoolhouse to a new private dwelling”.

Permission is also sought for the construction of an extension and new site entrance to the property.

Kilkenny County Council will make a decision on the application early in the New Year.
