Opportunist burglars attempt daylight break-in at Kilkenny home

A local homeowner iwas shocked to discover burglars had attempted to break into their house in the middle of the day.

The incident occurred at a house in Doninga, between Goresbridge and Paulstown, last Monday afternoon sometime between 1pm and 3pm.

The homeowner returned to find damage to the exterior of his house where the burglars had attempted to gain access to the building. There was no sign of the burglars when the man returned home.

Gardai are asking anyone who was on the road between Goresbridge and The Royal Oak Cross near Bagnelstown around that time and who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact Goresbridge Garda Station on 059 977 5202.
