New drive-thru Covid rapid testing facility opens in Kilkenny
A new Drive-Through Covid-19 Testing Facility is set to open today in Kilkenny.
The Tropical Medical Bureau (TMB) this week opened the new drive-through PCR testing service at Ayrfield Medical centre.
The facility provides a fast, convenient, and safe way for those who are travelling and those who are returning from travel to be tested for the virus. It will provide an express RT-PCR screening service, guaranteeing results and a Covid-19 travel clearance certification within 24 to 36 hours, The tests, results, and certification costs €120 per person.
Speaking about the new service, Dr Frank Chambers, GP Partner at Ayrfield Medical Centre, said: “We are delighted to partner with TMB on the drive-thru service.
“This is a convenient service that is lean in terms of turnaround that will benefit patients in the South East. We are excited to provide this innovative service.”
