Vandals hit a bum note as Kilkenny’s singing bins are vandalised again
Just over a fortnight after being installed to give visitors to Kilkenny city centre a musical treat, the singing bins have been vandalised once again.
Kilkenny County Council installed three singing bins around the city-centre. The bins serenade anyone who uses them, encouraging them to bin their waste again.
But within two of the bins were vandalised within first 24 hours of operation a fortnight ago. Now the vandals have struck again.
The council discovered the bins at the Castle Gates and on Canal Bank Walk were targeted again, sometime between last weekend and Monday.
Anyone with information or who may have seen the bins being tampered with is asked to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
