Plan for new ‘colour-coded’ response to combat Covid-19
The National Public Health Emergency team (NPHET) is considering introducing a new colour-coded response as part of the country’s new Covid-19 pandemic plan.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly this morning said the colour-coded system is different to the original roadmap, or phases, outlined by the previous government.
NPHET will meet today to review the latest trends on Covid-19.
The minister told RTÉ’s Morning Ireland the codes are a warning system on where “we are at on any given day.”
Minister Donnelly said the measures introduced for Laois, Kildare and Offaly may be introduced in other parts of the country at some point depending on the level of cases.
