Plans for new development of family homes in Kilkenny city

Kilkenny County Council has received plans requesting permission to build a new housing development on the outskirts of the city.

Developers Raggett Construction Limited are looking to build the 20 new homes on a 0.67 hectare site at Smithsland North, on the Waterford Road.

The plans involve the demolition of existing disused farm sheds, to be followed by the construction of three four-bedroom dormer bungalows, 13 three-bedroom, two storey town houses and four two-bedroom, two storey townhouses.

The local authority is expected to make a decision on the development by October 12. Submissions from the public will be accepted until September 19.
