Popular Kilkenny shopping centre gets green light for new development
A popular shopping centre in Kilkenny city has been granted permission to carry out significant development work on its site.
Loughboy Shopping Centre on the Bohernatounish Road was given the green light to demolish part of its existing cold rooms and to build a new single-story extension to increase its storage area.
Kilkenny County Council also granted Canalridge Ltd permission to construct two new openings at the shopping centre’s northern boundary wall: one for small vehicles to enter the yard area and also “a fire escape route”.
As part of the development, Loughboy Shopping Centre will also build a new roof over its “external cold rooms and “all associated site works”.
