REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Elizabeth (Betty) EVANS (née Behan)
De La Salle Place, Kilkenny City

Evans (nee Behan) (4 De La Salle Place, Kilkenny) 13th September 2020, unexpectedly, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Elizabeth (Betty), beloved wife of the late Johnny and much loved mother of Lorraine, John and Lisa, sadly missed by her loving family, brothers, sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, in-laws, extended family, neighbours and friends.

In keeping with current government/HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings, Requiem Mass for Betty will be celebrated at 10.30am on Tuesday (15th Sept) in St. John’s Church, Kilkenny, for family and close friends. (max of 50 people in church). Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran’s Cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed online at www.stjohnskilkenny.com

Dingle, Kerry/Cuffesgrange, Kilkenny

On the 13th of September 2020 at Ashborough Lodge Nursing Home, Jim (formerly of Desert, Cuffesgrange, Co. Kilkenny) predeceased by his mother Kitty Kelly. Deeply regretted by his brother Tony and sister in law Ann, his niece, nephews, relatives and friends.

Remains to arrive St. Mary’s Church, Dingle on Tuesday afternoon for 2 o’clock Requiem Mass followed by interment in St. Brendan’s Cemetery, Dingle (Live streaming of Mass on www.naomhmuire.wordpress.com).

Funeral conducted according to HSE guidelines.

Úna MAHONEY (née Dowling)
Altamount Park, Dublin Road, Kilkenny City

Mahoney, Úna, (née Dowling) (32 Altamount Park, Dublin Road, Kilkenny).

Pre-deceased by her cherished son Brian. Devoted wife of Séamus and beloved mother of Gina McBride (Celbridge), Evonne Roche (Lyreacrompane) and Nicola Harding (Kilkenny). Úna slipped away peacefully on the 13th September in the wonderful care of the staff of Adams McConnell Ward at Beaumont Hospital, after a short illness very bravely borne, in the presence of her loving family. She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters, adored grandchildren Enya, Abbie, David, Brian, James and Charley, sons in-law Paul, Albert and Ross, sister Maureen, brother Bobby, sisters-in law Mary and Emily, brothers-in law Paud and Noel, niece, nephews, godchildren, extended family, relatives, loyal neighbours and a large circle of dear friends.

Reposing at her home on Tuesday (15th Sept.) for family and close friends with strict adherence to social distancing, face covering and hand hygiene. Removal on Tuesday evening to St. John’s Church, Kilkenny, arriving for Reception Prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 10.30am. Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran’s Cemetery. Requiem Mass may be viewed online at www.stjohnskilkenny.com

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Adams McConnell Ward, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.

Johanna (Jo) MALONE
Hoodsgrove, Rosbercon, Kilkenny/New Ross, Wexford

Malone; Hoodsgrove, Rosbercon, New Ross, Co Kilkenny. Jo in her 101st year peacefully in the care of The Community Hospital New Ross, predeceased by her brothers & sisters. Deeply regretted by her loving family her neice Sióbhan Sengupta and family, relatives, neighbours & many friends.

Reposing in Doyle’s Funeral Home The Old Rectory Rosbercon from 6pm today Sunday 13th September with Prayers at 7pm. Social distancing guidelines apply.

Removal will take place at 11.45am tomorrow Monday 14th September from Doyle’s Funeral Home to The Church of The Assumption Rosbercon (passing her residence in Hoodsgrove) for 12noon Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
