REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Johanna Delaney 4 Lower Main Street, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny died Wednesday 7th October peacefully in the loving care of Mairead and all her wonderful staff in Gowran Abbey Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Myles. Predeceased by her son Willie and daughter Frances. Deeply regretted by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren great-great-grandchildren, sons in law, daughters in law, nieces, nephews, brother, sisters, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home from 12 o’ clock on Thursday. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11 o’ clock in the Church of The Assumption, Gowran. Burial immediately afterwards in Calvary Cemetery, Graiguenamanagh. Family flowers only donations to Dalton House Day Care Centre and Dementia Ireland. Due to Government advice a private family funeral will take place.

Bridget HACKETT (née Reid)
Callan Road, Kilkenny City

Hackett (nee Reid) (Seville Lodge, Callan Road, Kilkenny) 7th October 2020,peacefully, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bridget, beloved wife of the late Jimmy and much loved mother of Willie and Mary, sadly missed by her loving family, brother Tommy, sisters Nellie and Teresa, son-in-law Stephen, daughter-in-law Margaret, grandchildren Debbie, Damien, Tara, Darren and Stephen, great-granddaughter Anna, extended family, neighbours and friends.

In keeping with current Government / HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings, a private family Funeral will take place for Bridget, with the Requiem Mass being celebrated at 11am on Friday (9th Oct.) in St. Joseph’s Church, Foulkstown (max of 25 in church). Late of Coolgraney, The Rower, Co. Kilkenny). Sadly missed by his loving wife Bridget, sons and daughters Gráinne, Deirdre, John, Francis, Pamela and Julian, sisters Anne (America) and Sr. Mary Bernadette (Roscrea), grandchildren John, Susan, Jenny, Lorraine, Roisín, Fiona, Sarina, Mark, Ciara and Nathan, great-granddaughter Caoimhe, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

A private family funeral will take place on Friday, October 9th, in St. Mary and Michael’s Parish Church, New Ross, followed by burial afterwards in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. (max 25 in the church, social distancing guidelines will apply).

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the New Houghton Hospital, New Ross.

Helen Quigley, 3 Brandon Park, Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of St. Mullins passed away on Tuesday, 6th October 2020. Deeply regretted by her mother Mary, partner Michael, children Martin, Darren, Nikita, Thomas, Michelle, Chloe, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, relations and friends.

Reposing at Walsh’s Funeral Home, Graiguenamanagh from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday. Funeral Home private on Friday morning please. Funeral Mass at 10:30 am on Friday in Duiske Abbey, Graiguenamanagh and burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery.
