REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Mansfield Drive, Wexford Town/Graiguenamanagh, Kilkenny

Formerly, Tinnahinch, Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. Beloved wife of the late Ronnie, mother of Jonathan and sister of Mary Clare, Colm, Brendan and the late Fr Donal, and Liam. Sadly missed by her loving son, sisters, brothers, daughter in law Anna-Maria, granddaughter Ella, sisters in law, brothers in law, neighbours, extended family and friends.

You are welcome to view Eva’s requiem Mass on Clonard Parish Facebook page at 12 noon, followed by burial in Crosstown Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, in lieu, to Jack and Jill Foundation.

Catherine Patricia (Kay) DUNNE (née Murray)
New Farm, The Rower, Kilkenny/New Ross, Wexford

(Late of Ballyanne, New Ross, Co. Wexford). Beloved wife of John, mother of Michelle, Ivan, Kieran, Sean and the late James, sister of Anastasia, Bridget, Margaret, Patricia, Marian and the late William, sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughter, sisters, 10 loving grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, neighbours and friends.

Due to current restrictions, a private family funeral will take place on Monday (August 9th) in The Church of St. Anne and St John, Rathgarogue, which can be viewed at 10am on https://www.facebook.com/cushinstownparishnews followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Liam O’BRIEN
College Road and late of Emmet Street, Kilkenny City

Liam O’Brien (College Road and late of Emmet Street, Kilkenny) August 6th 2021 in the loving care of Ann, Chris and the staff at Drakelands House Nursing Home. Beloved brother of Michael, Mary (Daisy) and Josephine. He will be sadly missed by his brother, sisters, brother-in-law Michael, sister-in-law Marie, nieces Mary and Deirdre, nephew Declan, extended family and friends.

In accordance with current government guidelines a private Requiem Mass for Liam will be celebrated on Monday (August 9th) in St. Mary’s Cathedral at 11a.m. (max. 50 people) followed by interment in St. Kieran’s Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to a charity of your choice.

Maura O’Reilly (nee Cahill) : 6th August, 2021
Ruthstown, Ballyfoyle, Co. Kilkenny.

Peacefully at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her loving husband Thomas. Maura will be sadly missed by her family, daughter Emer, son Gerald, grandchildren Sarah, Philip and Katie, Gerald’s partner Ann, brother-in-law Séan, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The funeral cortége will arrive at Saint Joseph’s Church, Ballyfoyle on Sunday (8th August) for Requiem Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. A message of sympathy can be left by using the condolence option here.

Harriet GOULD (née Griffith)
Tomard, Milford, Carlow/Paulstown, Kilkenny

Harriet Gould (née Griffith), of Tomard, Milford, Co. Carlow, and formerly Kellymount, Paulstown, Co. Kilkenny, passed away peacefully, on August 4th, 2021, at Waterford University Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur, much loved mother of Susan, Arthur, Iris and the late Freddie and Hazel and adored grandmother of Ryan, William, Emily and Jake.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Colin and John, brother-in-law Bobby, sister-in-law Phyllis, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Removal from her home on Saturday at 2pm to St. John The Evangelist’s Church, Cloydagh, Carlow, (Eircode R93 T953) arriving for Funeral Service at 2.30pm (due to Covid restrictions, entry to the Church will be invite only, mourners are welcome to attend in the Churchyard).

Burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.
