REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Kilkenny City/Threecastles

Patrick (Pat) Egan (Talbot’s Inch, Freshford Road, Kilkenny and late of Kilaree, Threecastles, Co. Kilkenny). October 28th 2021 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of St. Gabriel’s ward, St. Canice’s Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Rowena, Olive and John. He will be sadly missed by his wife and family, brothers and sisters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren Jack, Kate, Emily, Tom, Seán, Max and Ava, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Requiem Mass for Pat will be celebrated on Saturday (Oct. 30th) at 11a.m. in St. Canice’s Church, Kilkenny followed by interment in Tulla Cemetery, Threecastles.

Should you wish to leave a message for Pat’s family, please do so here. Please observe government guidelines regarding the wearing of face masks and social distancing.

Mry Mahony (née O’Riordan) (Melville Heights, Kilkenny). October 27th 2021 (suddenly) at her home. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Joe, sister Pamela, brother Michael, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

John O’GRADY 
McDermott Villas, Navan, Meath/Kilkenny City

The death has occurred of John O’Grady, McDermott Villas, Navan and formerly of Kilkenny. October 28th 2021 (peacefully) at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan. Predeceased by his wife Deirdre; parents Statia and Ted; brother Pat. Very deeply regretted by his sisters Angela, Kathleen and Miriam; brothers Eddie and Joe; brother-in-law Roy and his wife Olive; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing in the Fitzsimons Funeral Home, this Sunday from 2 o’clock until 5 o’clock. Removal on Monday morning to St.Mary’s Church for 11 o’clock Funeral Mass. (navanparish.ie/webcam). Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

For those who cannot attend and wish to sympathise with the family, they may do so on the condolence book provided here.
