REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Rathduff, Ballyragget

Daniel (Danny) Culleton, Rathduff, Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny, Died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Friday 18th February 2022.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Teresa, sons Alan, Jonathan and Oliver, Daughter Janet, Daughters-in-Law, Son-in-Law, Grandchildren, Brother Joe, sister Peggy, Sister-in-Law Brigid, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence from Sunday 20th at 4pm, with rosary at 8pm.

Removal Monday morning to St. Patricks Church, Ballyragget for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in St. Finnans Cemetry, Ballyragget.

Roberta (Bertie) DUNPHY (née White)
‘Echoes’, The Green, Ballyragget

Roberta (Bertie) Dunphy (Nee White), died 16th February 2022, surrounded by the loving staff in the SMU unit at St. Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny.

Deeply regretted by Her loving husband Jack, children Juanita Dwayne and Zita, daughter-in-law Marie, Grandchildren Alex, Oscar, Muireann, Lucy and Eanna, her Brothers and Sisters, In-Laws , relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Robert and Moira and her brother Gerald.

Reposing at her home on the Green from 6.30 pm Friday 18th with Rosary at 8pm.

Removal on Saturday morning to St. Patricks Church Ballyragget for 12 o’clock Requiem Mass followed by burial in St. Finnans Cemetry.

Family flowers only.

Donations if desired to the SMU unit at St. Lukes Hospital Kilkenny.

Flynn Monteen, Crettyard, Carlow, formerly of Ballinabrannagh, Carlow, and Corrib Road, Terenure, Dublin. 14th February 2022. Hilda much loved mother of David. Sadly missed by her many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her residence from 5pm until 9pm Friday. Removal at 12.30pm Saturday to the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium for family service at 3pm.

Artane, Dublin/Kilkenny

Kiernan, Margaret, (nee Staunton),(Artane, Dublin formerly Coolgraney, Kilkenny) died 17th February 2022, (Peacefully) surrounded by her loving family, very sadly missed by her husband James and children Francis and Patrick, her sister Eileen, sisters-in-law Rosie and Ann, sister-in-law May, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Margaret will be reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Coolock on Monday, 21st February, 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, 22nd February, at 11.00am at Our Lady Of Mercy, Artane followed by burial at St Kieran’s Cemetery, Kilkenny.

Convent of Mercy, Callan, Kilkenny/Fethard, Tipperary

Sr. Philomena Phelan, Convent of Mercy Callan, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Killusty, Fethard, Co. Tipperary. Peacefully at Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny on Thursday, 17th February 2022. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary Ellen, sister Sr. Brid C.P., brothers Willie and Gus, sister-in-law Catherine and nephew David. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing family, her brother Eddie, sisters-in-law Eileen and Noreen, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, the Sisters of Mercy in Callan and the Southern Province and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan on Saturday, 19th February, from 6pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Prayers on Sunday morning at 11am followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan.
