REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Johnstown, Kilkenny/Kilmeague, Kildare

Peacefully, after a short illness with her devoted family by her side, in the kind care of staff at St. Vincent’s Private hospital Dublin. Dearly loved wife of Osmond and loving mother of Gail and Robert.June will be missed by her husband, daughter, son, sisters Valerie and Sylvia, brothers in law William and Carl, sister in law Ethel, uncle, aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Doyle’s funeral home Urlingford (Eircode E41XO38) on Tuesday evening from 5pm until 7.30pm. Removal on Wednesday afternoon to St. Mary’s Church Johnstown ( Eircode E41H272) arriving for funeral service at 2pm followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2022. Sadly missed by her loving husband Ken, son Vincent, daughters Marie-Claire, Vivienne and Róisín, grandchildren Andrew, Isobel, Lauren, Eve, Caylin, Janet and Isla-Rey, sisters Bernadette and Pat, brother Stephen, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Cooney’s Funeral Home, New Ross, (Eircode Y34N677) on Wednesday, March 2nd, from 4pm concluding at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 3rd, at 11am in St. Brendan’s Church, Clodiagh, followed by burial afterwards in Cappagh Cemetery, Inistioge.

LANE, Peggy (neé Wallace) February 27th 2022 (Palmerstown and formerly of Ballyfermot and Harristown,​ ​Co.Kilkenny) peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Jimmy and loving Mammy to Margaret, Dermot, Brendan, Rosemary, Aidan and Una​,​ daughters-in-law, ​Anne, Bernadette, Vanessa ​sons-in-law, ​Joe and Robert, ​grandchildren, Michelle, Andrew, Kevin, Aoife, Darragh, Aodán, Mairead, Ciaran, Carol, Eoin, Sinead, Rachel, Steven, Laura, Matthew, Jools, Tighe, and Amelie great-grandchildren Tadgh, Heidi, Aaron, Ava, Grace, Hazel, Amber, Brannoc, Dylan, Juno, Donchadh, Caleb, sister Biddy, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing in her family residence, on Tuesday, 1st ​& Wednesday 2nd of March, from ​6​pm to ​9​pm. Removal on ​Thursday​ morning, 3rd March, to St Matthew’s Church, Ballyfermot arriving for 11.30am Requiem Mass followed by burial in Newlands Cross Cemetery.

Talbot’s Inch, Kilkenny City

Agnes Shanley (née Hammond) (Talbot’s Inch, Kilkenny) February 27th 2022 (peacefully) in the outstanding care of the staff in Surgical 3, St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny – in the season of birdsong. Predeceased by her beloved sister Kit. Loving wife of Con and much loved mother of Helen, Brenda and Aoife. She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters, sons-in-law Dominique and Nicolas, her adored grandchildren Matthew, Arthur, Aislinn, Neill, Kaelan, Joshua and Ana, her sisters Mary and Brede, brother Patrick, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Hehir’s Funeral Home (R95 FH90) from 5.30p.m. on Wednesday with Funeral Prayers at 6.30p.m. followed by removal to St. Canice’s Church. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11a.m.

Cremation Service on Friday at 2.30p.m. in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin. The Service will be live streamed on https://www.mountjerome.ie/victorian-chapel-service/
