Sadness as body of missing young man is found

Gardai have stood down the search for a missing local man after his body was discovered yesterday evening.

The family of Joseph Savagh (32) from Bagenalstown, had issued a public appeal through the glast gardai after he had been missing since Monday.

However, gardai last night confirmed: “Following the discovery of a body this evening 13th May 2020, the missing person search for Joseph Savage has been stood down. No further action is required. An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in this matter.”
