Popular Kilkenny village pub gets green light for food plans
A popular county Kilkenny pub has been given the green light to redevelop the premises.
Shirley’s Public House in Kells has been granted permission by Kilkenny County Council to make some major alterations to the pub.
The permission allows Shirley’s convert an existing storage shed into a kitchen and build an extension to connect the kitchen to the main bar.
The owners will also upgrade the toilets by knocking the current facilities and replacing them with a larger, more accessible block.
