Safe with cash and jewellery stolen during break-in at house in Kilkenny town

A safe was stolen from a house during a break-in at a house in county Kilkenny

The thefoccurred at a house in the Tullamaine area of Callan between 6am last Wednesday and 10am on Sunday.

A Garda source confirmed the burglars smashed a patio door at the side of the house to gain entry. The house was ransacked and a safe containing money and jewellery was stolen.

Gardai saids the value of the contents of the safe is not known at this time.
