Shocked Kilkenny city resident woken by thieves trying to break into his car
A KILKENNY city householder was woken by the sound of thieves trying to break into his car.
Gardaí are investigating the attempted break-in at The Weir on the Castlecomer Road in the early hours of Monday morning, shortly before 1am.
A Garda spokesperson told KilkennyNow.ie: “The owner of the car, a 162 KK white BMW 330, heard banging outside his window. The culprit fled when the car owner banged on the window. The vehicle was entered but nothing was taken.”
Gardai have urged potential eyewitnesses or anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
