Shocking: Gardai hunt gang behind thefts of electric fences and equipment from Kilkenny farms

Gardaí are on the hunt for a gang who have been trespassing on farms in county Kilkenny and literally pulling equipment up out of fields.

Two farms in Knockroe, near Windgap were targetted over the last number of days and the thieves are stealing fencing and electrical wires.

The first incident happened between 8pm on Friday and 8pm on Saturday.

Fifteen white fence stakes and 100 metres of electric fence were taken.

In a second incident, in a neighboring farm, 65 posts were stolen sometime between 11pm on Sunday evening and 9am on Monday morning.

Kilkenny gardai are investigating the thefts. They have urged witnesses of anyone with information about the incidents to contact Kilmoganny Garda Station on 051 648 002.
