Sixth cents: Kilkenny punter turns 25 cent bet into €8,250 windfall
ONE lucky local punter has turned a 25 cent bet into a whopping €8,250.25 windfall.
Christmas came early for the canny Kilkenny punter who scooped the incredible win after they placed the tiny bet on the EuroMillions.
The winner is a customer of BoyleSports, and wishes to remain anonymous.
BoyleSports spokesperson Aoife Heffron said their Kilkenny customer took their loose change of their pocket and put it on a quick-pick on Friday’s EuroMillions main draw.
The numbers chosen for the punter were 12, 29, 42 and 44 – and defied crazy odds of 33,000/1 to secure a return of €8,250.25 for the delighted local punter.
Ms Hefron said: “Christmas has most certainly come early for our Kilkenny customer who scooped an incredible €8,250.25 for the tiny 25 cent quick pick on the EuroMillions. Wishing them all the very best whilst spending their winnings and hoping it makes for a very special Christmas.”
