Smartphone stolen from car in Kilkenny while owner was taking out training gear

A man who had just returned home from a training session had his smartphone robbed from his car while he dropped his gear bags inside his house.

The incident happened at Dean Kavanagh Place in Kilkenny city at 11.45am on Saturday morning.

The man had just pulled up in his car and parked it on the street just outside his home. He picked up some of his gear from the car to bring into the house and when he returned just seconds later the man noticed his smartphone was taken from the front of the car.

The man said he saw a group of people walking away from him and his car after noticing his Samsung Galaxy S7 had gone.
