Smoke alarm spooks thieves who broke into store on Kilkenny’s High Street
FOUR thieves fled empty handed after they triggered a smoke alarm while attempting to break into a well-known store on Kilkenny’s High Street.
The four broke through the front door of the 3 Store at around 4am yesterday morning.
A local Garda source told KilkennyNow.ie: “Four men gained entry to the shop but they triggered a smoke alarm, which appears to have spooked them.”
The thieves fled in the direction of Parliament Street.
Gardai arrived on the scene a short time later, but there was no sign of the suspects.
Investigating gardai have urged potential witnesses or anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact them at Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 555 7000.
