SPONSORED: An Grianán Festival 2019 – The 2 Johnnies let loose on South Kilkenny
LIVEWIRE comedy-music act The 2 Johnnies have been confirmed as the headline act for this year An Grianán Festival in Thomastown.
One of Ireland’s most popular comedy acts – with an impressive social media following of almost 500,000 – Johnny B (O’Brien) and Johnny Smacks (McMahon) will be performing in South Kilkenny on the back of a hugely successful tour of the country.
The 2 Johnnies and their live band will perform their unique and high-octane act before what promises to be a sold-out event in Thomastown on August 10. It was originally scheduled to take place on July 13, but the organisers pushed back the date because it clashed with the Cats’ weekend quarter final fixture at Croke Park. They stress all tickets sold for July 13 are valid for the new date.
It’s the fourth year of the An Grianán Festival, which previously featured Aslan and Nathan Carter as headline acts, and organisers expect this year will be even bigger and better.
Thomastown GAA Club Secretary Michael Breathnach said: “The festival has been going from strength to strength and we’re delighted to confirm The 2 Johnnies as this year’s headline act.
“It’s going to be another great night in Thomastown on August 10, so I’d urge people to book early to avoid disappointment.”
Festival-goes who do get a ticket are unlikely to be disappointed with the entertainment on offer.
