SUNNY DAYS: best weather of the year could hit Kilkenny this week

THE THUNDERY and wet weather of yesterday is a thing of the past – it looks like a glorious week ahead.
Today, the remnants of the wild conditions will clear. It will be breezy with a few showers. Temperatures will reach no more than 21 degrees.
The showers will clear by Sunday, although it will remain windy and cloudy. Temperatures could reach 22 degrees, but it is expected to be humid.
The good news starts here, so be prepared for HOT, HOT, HOT weather.
The rest of the week looks like being a scorcher with temperatures hitting the high 20s.
Monday will be bright and clear, and the sun will be out. Met Eireann says it could hit 26 degrees in Kilkenny.
Tuesday and Wednesday could be the best days of the year so far. It will be sunny and hot with thermometers hitting 28 degrees.
