Teen who died tragically after falling ill at festival to be laid to rest tomorrow

THE FUNERAL will take place this evening of the teenager who tragically passed away three days after falling ill at a music festival in Cork last weekend.
19- year-old Jack Downey’s removal will be removed to a church in Clonmel, Co Tipperary this evening, with burial mass taking place tomorrow morning.
Jack’s mother Elaine (nee Quigley) is originally from Callan, and much of Jack’s extended family still lives in the Callan area.
Jack’s body will be reposing at Clonmel Óg Hurling & Football Club in Clonmel this evening from 4pm with removal at 8pm to St. Oliver’s Church.
Requiem Mass will take place tomorrow morning at 11.30am followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
The family has requested no flowers and if desired, people can make donations to the Intensive Care Unit at Cork University Hospital.
