The indecision is final: Martin Brett says he has NOT resigned from Fine Gael

Kilkenny councillor Martin Brett says he has only resigned the whip of Fine Gael and is still a member of the party, despite his statement yesterday,  KCLR is now reporting.

Earlier today it was claimed that he had resigned as a member of Fine Gael and that he was undecided if he will step down from his role as Leas-Chathaoirleach of the county council.

Yesterday, speaking to KilkennyNow.ie, Mr Brett said he wanted to “unreservedly apologise” for attending but said he had no intention of stepping down from Kilkenny County Council.
