Thieves climb telephone poll in county Kilkenny and make off with 400m of cable
Thieves climbed up a telephone pole and proceeded to cut off 400 metres of cable before making their escape in the night.
The near-shocking theft occurred at Frankford, Gatabawn, not far from the M8 motorway exit at Urlingford sometime between 5pm on Saturday, September 12 and Tuesday, September 15.
Gardai are investigating the theft. They have urged anyone may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area between the same dates to contact Fresford Garda Station on 056 883 2122.
