Thieves target home heating oil from Kilkenny homes

Thieves broke into a property and removed oil from the tank before making their getaway.

Local gardai confirmed the theft occurred at a house in The Rower sometime between Sunday, October 10 and last Saturday.

Gardai urged homeowners to be conscious of oil tank security as thieves target increasingly expensive home heating supplies over the dark winter months.

Witnesses or anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to contact Graiguenamanagh Garda Station on 059 972 5750.
