Three young people in serious condition at St Luke’s Hospital after early morning crash

Three young adults remain in a serious condition at St Luke’s General Hospital after they were involved in a serious road accident yesterday.

The three victims, who are all in their 20s, were injured after the car they were travelling in left the road and crashed into the corner of a house in Tullow in neighbouring Carlow in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The single vehicle collision occurred at The Forge Cross, Castlemore at around 2am.

The emergency services arrived at the scene a short time later and the three victims were rushed to St Luke’s where they were described as being in a serious condition.

The road was temporarily closed for a technical examination.

Gardai in the Kilkenny-Carlow division are investigating the incident.

They have urged anyone who was in the area between 1.30am and 2.15am yesterday who may have witnessed the collision, particularly motorists who may have dashcam footage, to contact Tullow Garda Station on 059-916 1122, the Garda Confidential Line or any Garda station.
