Thunderstruck- Met Éireann warns of stormy weather in Kilkenny today
Get ready for a stormy afternoon as Met Éireann has issued a thunder warning for Kilkenny.
The national weather forecaster has issued a Status Yellow Thunder warning for this afternoon which could last for most of the day.
Announcing the weather warning this morning Met Éireann said: “Scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, with a risk of hail and localised spot flooding.
The storms are set to affect Kilkenny, the rest of Leinster, Munster and the border counties.
The warning is valid from now until 10pm tonight.
